Anything

Most recently I had the Linda Marquez Soccer Banquet; which included the Boys' and Girls' soccer team. This ceremony held for both Varsity and Junior Varsity. Everyone was dressed, and well groomed(unlike practice) and we enjoyed each other's company. The LMHS Cheer leaders had a performance for us and parents were just absorbing the atmosphere. Then the JV teams went; first girls and every player got a medal with their name on it, and a certificate. Their coach was not present because she was burdened with another obligation at work. Then the boys JV went and their coach spoke for a long while. He gave his back story of his career and how he came to be the coach, and like the girls received the medal with their name and a certificate upon the stage.
next it was the varsity teams. The Girls Varsity team walked upon the stage and our coach said a few words of endearment. The season went well and our middle Christina was awarded with the best mid-field, and Johanna our left wing, was awarded the best offensive player. Kudos went to them for their accomplishments. Then s few were left and I was left last. Then my coach presented the MVP award. I was astonished. I had never won any recognition like that in my life and it was a prideful moment for me. The trophy was heavy and I became teary-eyed. But the best part was the MVP award was MVP of the Central League! AMAZING!! That really put the cherry on top.
I showed my parents the award, as a team we all danced a bit and walked off stage with a grace, because we also won Central League Champs our first season! It was so awesome! Then the Boys' varsity continued with the ceremony and their head coach had many things to say about them. They all got medals and certificates once again and then Miguel Valle was awarded Best offensive player with 11 goals, Ruben Renteria was awarded with the Best Defensive Player, and Luis (Goalie) was awarded with The Central League MVP as well. It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves.
